Hi I'm Donald,
I've lurked around various newsgroups, though my presence has usually been felt by others posting "Donald says [whatever]", hence the name. I think I averaged one post every three years. I am also really [expletive deletive] at e-mail (I almost never reply). I like music ( goth, folk, psychedelic, punk, some metal, orchestral ), real ale and whisky, science fiction, history, computer games and hillwalking (thats somthing I haven't done in a long while and want to get back into ), Sexuality: I like cute people, which probably makes me bi ( I like intelligence, personality, tactile reactions and weirdness). I am polyamourous and have an open relationship with my partner, jennie, which has lasted for over twelve years.
I use Linux ( gentoo ) and W2Kpro on my machines.
In 1993 I contracted leukaemia, dropping out of university as a result. On a number of occasions I have tried rejoining the academic environment. Currently I am engaged in a number of OU (open university) courses. I have enjoyed the opportunity to both learn and meet new people.
